We were created to live in a specific environment. That environment was created originally for us, but then there was a problem and the environment changed.

Synthetic is meant to look and act like the original but it is not an exact duplicate.  The differences show up over time.  Have we allowed ourselves to become complacent in the wrong environment? Are we truly pursuing the environment that we were created for and it for us?
